Good morning, Coulston Families,
We wanted to send a few reminders in regards to eLearning since it has been a while since we have had one. All eLearning assignments will be posted on Google Classroom by 9:00 a.m. this morning. If students are unable to complete the work on their personal devices, school iPads will be sent home on Monday so that they can complete the work at home. If students need usernames and passwords to access eLearning, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher. The due date for those assignments is Friday, April 21, 2023. The specials schedule for eLearning will be:
K-1 - P.E.
2-3 - Art
4-5 - Music
We appreciate everyone's hard work in making sure these assignments are completed. We look forward to seeing our Coulston Comets on Monday!
Shelbyville Central Schools will be on an eLearning Day today, Friday 4/14/23. We have been notified that we were one of several districts that received a threat overnight that has not yet been identified. Out of abundance of caution our buildings will be closed today. Students will have one week to complete assignments. We will communicate more information when appropriate. Thank you.

Memories with Mom will take place at our Coulston park/playground. We have a ton of grassy space for families to have their picnic. We are excited about this fun event and can't wait to share more memories with our families.

The Shelbyville Central Education Foundation will be selling iPads again this year.

Sales will be made on a first come first serve basis based on the time stamp from the Google Form.
The only iPads available now are the iPad Air 2, 16GB - $50.00 each. You may reserve as many iPads as you wish at this time; however, a limited quantity is still available.
Pick up will be on April 7th at Coulston Elementary - 121 N. Knightstown Rd, Shelbyville IN - from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon and 3:00 until 5:00 pm.
Please note that they will be sold in as-is condition.
There will be no case, charging cord, or block provided. We ask that the iPad be checked prior to leaving school. There will be no support for devices once they leave the grounds.

On Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6:00-7:00 p.m., the Board of Trustees of Shelbyville Central Schools will have a special meeting at the Board Room located at 1115 IN-44, Shelbyville, to discuss bullying. Members of the community are invited to attend and share their experiences and ideas on how we can make our schools better.
Coulstons 1st graders prepared for their zoo trip by doing research on animals and creating habitats for the animals they researched. Looks great 1st grade.
Boys Basketbasketball Tournament Schedule for the A and B Leagues

Elementary Girls Basketball Night at SHS
This year all the girls who participated in Elementary Basketball will be recognized at the SHS Girls Basketball game on Tuesday, December 13th in Garrett Gymnasium at SHS. The SHS Girls Varsity game will start at approximately 7:30pm and this year’s Elementary Girls basketball teams will be recognized at half time of the varsity game.
Once players arrive, they will need to find their team/coach and stay together until after all teams have been recognized.
Students and coaches will need to wear their team shirt/jersey and check in at the admission table to enter the games for free.
Adults will be charged the normal admitance fee.
Please have students at Garrett Gymnasium at 6:45pm to check in so we can get teams organized and ready.
After students are recognized, they will rejoin the adults accompanying them to the game.

Good afternoon Coulston Families, this is Mrs. Terrell the new Coulston Principal with a few registration reminders. Online registration for the 2022-23 school year begins tomorrow, July 18th. You can register your child online at www.shelbycs.org. The website will give you access to register your child.
Help sessions will also be available at Coulston on July 18th from 10:00-12:30 P.M. and 5:00-7:00 P.M., and July 19th from 10:00-12:30. For these help sessions, please enter the flagpole doors.
