Parents- We will have the Kona Ice truck visiting Coulston tomorrow for First Friday! We have a donor who is covering the cost of all staff and students. If you have prepaid for this event already, Kona Ice will keep the payment as a credit when they return in September. We appreciate the private donors' generosity in supporting Coulston Elementary School. Have a good evening and we look forward to seeing everyone back tomorrow and ready for Hawaiian Day! Good evening Coulston Families. We are excited to see all of our Coulston Comet tomorrow at 7:25! Just a reminder that tomorrow is NOT an early release day, and students will be released at our normal time. Attached is a review of the car rider drop-off and dismissal guidelines. Please be patient these first days since the routine is new for several parents! Please ensure you have a car rider tag if you pick your student up from school. You can call the front office to request a tag. Please double-check your bus information this evening for bus arrival and drop-off times. Remember that on the first day, the buses may run a little early or late since it is the first day of school. So please be patient on these first few days! We are looking forward to seeing the students in the morning! Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! Coulston Families: We would like to remind everyone that our awards program for 1st and 2nd grade will begin at 8:30 and the doors will open at 8:15. Awards for 3rd and 4th grade will begin at 10:00 and doors will open at 9:45. You will enter through the front entrance, and parking will be available the front, back, and bus lots. The Shelbyville Central Teachers Association and Shelbyville Central Schools Administration is honoring retirees and those with 25 years of service on Wednesday, May 22, 6 p.m. in the SMS cafetorium. Retirees are Paul Ashbrook, Scott Harper, Michelle Karmire, Pat Parks, Diane Seals and Trudi Wolfe. Those with 25 years of service are Paul Ashbrook, Cathy Brown, Teresa Meredith and Tina Sherwood. Tickets, which are $11 for the grilled chicken parmesan meal, can be obtained by contacting lmkiefer@shelbycs.org.

Elementary Track Meet Update: Due to the risk of inclement weather for tonight and the concern for the safety of our athletes and spectators, the Shelbyville Elementary Track Meet is being moved to Wednesday, May 1st. Please have all athletes at McKeand Stadium by 5 pm on Wednesday, May 1st. McKeand Stadium is located between Shelbyville High School and Shelbyville Middle School. Also, a reminder that there is a $5 admission fee for the Elementary Track meet. All proceeds from admissions go to help fund the SHS Track and Field Program.
